Djibouti announced its support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh. The announcement made in an official letter received by Saudi embassy in Djibouti from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Djibouti. In a statement, Saudi Ambassador to Djibouti Faisal Al-Qabbani expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Djibouti for its support that reflects the deep brotherly relations between the two countries. For his part, Djibouti Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dya-Eddine Said Bamakhrama said: "Based on the close fraternal ties between the leaderships and peoples of Djibouti and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and confidence in the huge potential of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its status regionally and internationally at the geo-political and economic levels, Djibouti supports the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030, which will coincide with year of realizing the Saudi Vision 2030 to its national and international targets in development and entrepreneurship." He also stressed that Djibouti will contribute to mobilizing support necessary to render this international event success through organizing it in Riyadh.
