The Saudi-Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Shura Council, today at the council's headquarters, held a meeting headed by President of the committee Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Nahhas with Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada. Dr. Al-Nahhas highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Cuba in all fields, especially at the parliamentary level between the Shura Council and the Cuban parliament. For his part, Quesada expressed aspiration to develop the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields, stressing his country's position rejecting the recurrent terrorist attacks that target civilan objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all types of terrorism. During the meeting, that saw the participation of members of the committee, also reviewed Saudi-Cuban efforts exerted in combating the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and means to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in various fields. The meeting also discussed several issues of mutual interest to both countries in a bid to contribute to enhancing commonalities and cooperation aspects.
