President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and his accompanying delegation today visited one of the stations of the Riyadh Metro project, where he was received by Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh Region, Saudi Investment Minister Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh (the accompanying minister), Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser and CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City Fahd bin Abdulmuhsen Al-Rasheed. The Korean President started his tour by listening to a detailed explanation on the future services of the public transport sector, including the Riyadh Metro and Riyadh Buses projects through linking the capital with six routes covering a total of 176 kilometers with 85 stations distributed across Riyadh. Later, the president and accompanying delegation toured the station and checked on its equipment according to the highest standards and latest technologies, in addition to checking on the map that shows the routes of the Riyadh Metro project. The guests were accompanied by Samsung C&T Group CEO Oh Sechul, where the company is one of the firms implementing the scheme. The Riyadh Metro Project will provide a distinguished public transport service through covering areas with high population density, government facilities and commercial, educational and health activities, in addition to connecting it with the landmarks of Riyadh , such as the King Khalid International Airport, King Abdullah Financial District, downtown, and the public transport center.
