Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Virtual Session

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet's virtual session today.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the contents of the recent meetings and talks that took place with the aim of developing relations, building bridges of cooperation and advancing the cooperation with a number of countries of the world in different fields to serve common interests and efforts aiming to achieve international peace and security.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said that the Cabinet reviewed a number of reports on events and their developments at both regional and global levels. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's welcome to UN-facilitated, Sudanese-led dialogue initiative as well as its support for everything that would contribute to the unity, security, stability and development in the Republic of Sudan.
The Cabinet touched on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness on achieving security and stability in the Republic of Yemen and ending the human suffering of the Yemeni people, in addition to efforts being exerted by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen in this regard, where these efforts aim to neutralize the threat in the region and secure maritime traffic and global trade in light of the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia's ongoing violations of international humanitarian law and the laws regulating navigation.
The Cabinet was briefed on a number of issues on its agenda and issued the following decisions:
First:
Approving amending Article 7 of the frame agreement to establish the International Solar Alliance, which was approved by Royal Decree No. M/78 dated 18/6/1441 Hijri to be as the text mentioned in the decision.
Second:
Approving a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Norwegian counterpart.
Third:
Approving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's accession to the Global Ocean Alliance and authorizing the Foreign Ministry to proceed with legal procedures.
Fourth:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the World Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish an international academy in cooperation with the UN World Tourism Organization and approving the organizational arrangements for the academy.
Fifth:
Authorizing president of the Human Rights Commission – or a deputy – to hold talks with the Qatari side on a draft memorandum of understanding on combating human trafficking crimes between the Human Rights Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking in Qatar, signing it and referring the final signed copy to proceed with legal procedures.
Sixth:
Authorizing chairman of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology – or a deputy – to hold talks with the Ukrainian side on a draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ukrainian government in the fields of science, technology and innovation, signing it and referring final signed copy to proceed with legal procedures.
Seventh:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the General Administration of Saudi Financial Investigation Unit at the State Security Presidency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the financial monitoring commission in Ukraine regarding cooperation on exchanging information of money laundering, financing terrorism and relevant crimes.
Eighth:
Amending several articles of the Ministry of Sports regulation under a decision by the Cabinet No. 95 dated 5/2/1442 Hijir, including amendments to paragraphs 6 and 7 of Article Second to be as the following: "6- Licensing for establishing sports facilities, holding sports events and sports training centers and institutes. 7- Preparing the rules and standards of establishing and administering sports facilities, and sports training centers and institutes."
Ninth:
Changing the National Center for Palms and Dates affiliated with the Federation of Saudi Commercial Chambers into a center that is organizationally connected to the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and approving the regulatory arrangements of the center.
Tenth:
Approving the final account of the University of Bisha for a previous fiscal year.
Eleventh:
Approving the appointment and promotion to the 15th and 14th ranks.
The Cabinet also reviewed a number of general topics on its agenda and took the necessary measures regarding these topics.
