Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf stressed the importance of the strategic GCC-Pakistan relations, voicing continuous aspiration towards developing them to serve joint interests of the two paties. The remarks were made during a meeting between Al-Hajraf and Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi with the participation of Head of the GCC Negotiations Team Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi in Islamabad today. The meeting reviewed developments related to the free trade negotiations between GCC countries and Pakistan, where Al-Hajraf stressed the importance of enhancing economic ties, increasing the trade exchange volume and holding joint investment projects between the two sides. Discussions also went over solid bilateral ties between GCC and Pakistan, and means to develop them in various fields, as well as expanding cooperation and developing joint benefits to best serve the interests of both sides, where the secretary general voiced GCC's keenness to enhance and develop these ties at various levels, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
