Quds city, Jan 10, SPA -- Israel's Cabinet on Thursday approved a new government including the dovish Labor party and an ultra-Orthodox party, Israeli officials said. However, the new government still needs parliamentary approval, which was cast into doubt when 13 members of the ruling Likud party announced they would oppose the creation of the government. The 13 Likud hard-liners reject Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and four West Bank settlements. Sharon's previous government fell apart over opposition to the plan. With the new additions, he is expected to have the necessary support to push forward.
