King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and World Food Program, has launched a project to rehabilitate multiple-use houses to face cyclones in Cox's Bazar District in Bangladesh. The KSrelief is fully rehabilitating 30 shelter centers in several areas of the district to benefit 27,500 individuals with the aim of providing the centers with lighting and solar energy devices to be used as shelters for people that might be affected during crises and catastrophes, in addition to using some centers as schools to ensure the sustainability of the educational process for students. During the project, the host community will be engaged in rehabilitating these buildings to help them financially through receiving wages. This assistance is based on the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, on the Rohingya refugees and host communities and out of its humanitarian duty towards refugees in light of the difficult living conditions, they are facing.
