Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has stressed that the tour of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to GCC countries is based on the longstanding historical ties connecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its brotherly countries in GCC countries and seeks to further enhance affection ties that connect the leaderships and citizens of GCC countries, as well as in implementation of directives of leaders of GCC countries to develop and enhance relations in various fields. The Secretary General noted that the Gulf tour aims at boosting hopes and aspirations and to instill the distinguished and close relations among GCC peoples, stressing that such brotherly visits play a prominent role in enhancing continuous coordination and push forward cooperation and develop its mechanisms in a bid to realize more welfare and prosperity for GCC peoples and to instill cooperation in all fields to preserve the Council's gains and protect the interests of its citizens. He added that the timing of the Gulf tour prior to the launch of the 42nd Session of the Supreme Council next week reflects the importance of issues that will be addressed, which will, definitely, lead to doubling efforts in the joint Gulf action to serve GCC peoples, mark the fifth decade of the blessed process of GCC that is witnessing an ambitious development renaissance aimed at preserving gains and achievements, building the future, protecting the security, stability and welfare of GCC, its countries and peoples, and enhancing its regional and international status as a voice of wisdom and peace.
