Pakistan has donated 45 ambulances for the people of Afghanistan, it was reported today. Pakistan Press International (PPI) said the ambulances were handed over by Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar Thursday to ambassador of Afghanistan Dr Nanguyalai Tarzai in Islamabad. Riaz Khokhar wished Afghan government and peoples every success with reconstruction process. Dr Tarzai thanked Pakistan for providing ambulances to Afghan people. These are in addition to 200 trucks Pakistan donated to Afghanistan last year. The government has also decided to contribute 100 buses for Afghan transport sector. Earlier, Pakistan had pledged US$100 million for the reconstruction of war-ravaged Afghanistan.
