Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, Attorney General, received here today Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Dr. Ghada Al-Waly and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation aspects and means to spread the legal culture, in addition to utilizing potential to address illegal trade of drugs and suspicious money. Sheikh Al-Mujib stressed the dangers of drugs and the importance of unifying efforts locally, regionally and internationally to curb their spread, affirming the importance of setting mechanisms among the countries at the legal level for e-crimes in a way that accords with their internal laws and achieves international cooperation to deal with such criminal patterns, noting that the Public Prosecution is among leading institutions in fighting these crimes and eliminating them in cooperation with counterparts in other countries. He added that intensifying procedures on seizing and transforming evidence and e-contents lead to unifying plans and gaining necessary skills in dealing with such evidence, mainly in legal issues. Dr. Al-Waly had a look at a visual presentation that showcased the level of advancement in digital transformation in the Public Prosecution.
