Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays a major and advanced role towards global issues related to economic stability, environment and climate through the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) and the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI). The two initiatives reflect the efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia in protecting the land and nature, in addition to achieving global goals, while maintaining its main role in stabilizing the oil supplies that the global economic needs for decades to come, the paper said. This comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia's policy and approach, supporting everything that would achieve prosperity for peoples in the post-COVID-19 crisis stage, the paper added. Such unprecedented progresses come within the goals of Saudi Arabia's ambitious vision in achieving a comprehensive sustainable development and high competitiveness in many global indices, the paper concluded. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the growth that the foreign investment witnessed in the Saudi Arabia in the past period is an indication of the success of the government's plans and policies towards achieving the desired economic transformation within the goals of its Vision 2030. Such steps reflect positively on diversifying the national economy, increasing the contribution of the private sector to invest in promising sectors, in addition to offering more job opportunities, the paper said. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's economy succeeded in overcoming many obstacles and challenges that the world faced during this year and the year before, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the unprecedented crisis in modern history, the paper added. This success is another indication that reflects the extent of the sustained efforts exerted by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to enhance the capacity of the economy and diversify sources of income, as a part of the goals of vision 2030, the paper concluded.
