The Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi has met with a group of ministers, officials and investors, in light of the works of the second day of the Fifth Investment Future Initiative which is being held in Riyadh during the period 26-28 October 2021. The meeting was held with Minister of Investment at the British Ministry of International Trade Lord Grimstone; former Canadian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Conservative Party Stephen Harper; Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Reyes Maroto; and Senegal Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation Amadou Hott. They discussed ways of strengthen relations in the trade and investment fields. It was also agreed to form joint working teams to meet periodically, to expedite procedures and overcome all obstacles facing joint commercial work, and to seize qualitative investment opportunities in a number of sectors, foremost of which are tourism, education, health, technology, insurance, mines, and services, in addition to the exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi has met also with a group of investors and businessmen; Henry Gong, a partner in THL China Capital Holding - China; Andrew Toure, CEO of Visa in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Ronaldo Mushawar, partner Founder of Souq.com, Vice President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa; Patrice Motsebe, CEO of African Rainbow Minerals Group of Companies in South Africa; Satoshi Shimoda, General Manager of Nikkei Media; and a delegation from the Colorado Businessmen and Women Council in the United States. During these meetings, they discussed the opening of regional offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and opportunities for development of joint cooperation in the fields of e-commerce, education, media, mining, and technology.
