The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Representative to donor countries of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, participated on Wednesday in the meeting of donor countries of the UN OCHA, held in Geneva, Switzerland. This meeting comes as a part of preparations for the second group meeting during the Dutch presidency for 2021-2022, which precedes the Kingdom's presidency for 2023-2023. The meeting is mainly about discussing the report of the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN) on the performance of the UN OCHA, whereas this report is considered one of the important factors for preparing Saudi Arabia's presidential plan. KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General extended thanks to MOPAN for preparing the report, which is seen by Saudi Arabia as a positive step to support the office and address the challenges facing the implementation of humanitarian initiatives. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is fully prepared to share its experiences regarding humanitarian and relief issues with the UN OCHA and relevant organizations in order to develop and support humanitarian efforts.
