Croatian President Stjepan Mesic looked set to win presidential elections on Sunday to secure his second term in office, exit polls showed. The polls, released by state television immediately after the voting ended, showed liberal reformer Mesic, 70, in first place with 52 percent of votes. Independent candidate Boris Miksic, a U.S.-based businessman came in second with 20 percent. The candidate of the ruling conservative HDZ, Jadranka Kosor, was third with 17 percent.
