The first group of 450 Iraqi pilgrims arrived in Makkah today to perform Hajj rituals for the year 1425. Upon arrival, they were received by Dr Amin bin Yasin Fatani, Director General of Hajj Ministry's branch in Makkah. On his part, Iraqi Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry and head of Hajj delegation Dr Mohammed Homoud Baden thanked the Kingdom for its efforts to serve pilgrims in general and Iraqi pilgrims in particular. Dr Al-Baden also thanked Saudi Minister of Hajj Iyad bin Amin Madani for the efforts and facilities provided for Iraqi pilgrims. He added that the overall number of Iraqi pilgrims is 27,500 pilgrims.
