Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Launches Human Capability Development Program to Enhance Citizens' Competitiveness Locally and Globally
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 16 - 09 - 2021

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that enabling citizens to participate in economic, social and cultural development locally and to compete in the labor market globally, is a major objective of the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP), one of the vision realization programs to achieve the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
The HCDP is a national strategy to enhance the competitiveness of national human capabilities locally and globally to be ready for the current and future labor market with capabilities and ambitions that compete with the world, and that is through: instilling and promoting values, developing basic and future skills, and developing knowledge.
The daily further said that His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee, launched yesterday the HCDP to enhance Saudi citizens' competitiveness locally and globally through the development of a qualitative capacity development journey.
Within the same approach, the recent period in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed many achievements. Among the most important achievements are the continuation of the educational process despite the difficult circumstances caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, leaps in the number of research publications, in addition to strengthening of global research partnerships within the research, development and innovation system, the newspaper added.
In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Iranian vision, with its expansionist plans, contradicts with all hopes of coexistence and peace. This vision results in making the countries of the region take further firm positions to confront and stop the Iranian intransigence and to protect the region from the Iranian behavior.
The newspaper added that Iran's repeated actions did not leave for the region or the world any opportunity for dialogue or rapprochement. At a time when all countries try to overcome differences, despite all previous experiences, Iran is mobilizing its capabilities to develop its nuclear program, which constitutes a real threat to the region and the world. This necessitates the world to shoulder its responsibility and play a role in the face of this reckless violation of international norms and laws.
The newspaper concluded that the Iranian behavior and plans only harm those who follow it.
