Chief Executive Officer of Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard, Dr. Bandar AlKnawy, said the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS), which will launch today under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, aims to meet the aspirations of Saudi leadership and achieve alignment with the Kingdom's vision 2030, as the vision is concerned with developing the health sector to achieve sustainable development, and in turn, it contributes to building a healthier world for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the countries, promoting investment in the field of biomedical technology and affirming that Saudi Arabia is one of the most important leading countries in the field of health care and biotech investment across the globe. He added that the RGMBS, one of the initiatives of the Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard, is of great importance due the challenges and difficulties the world faces in developing vaccines, impact of medical technology has created on developing the future of health, industry and investment. Dr. Bandar AlKnawy pointed out that the three-day summit will witness the participation of experts and leaders of the health sector from around the world, with the aim of presenting opportunities and shedding light on strategies for optimal investment in medical technology and its role in developing vaccines and cellular and genetic treatments. This is in addition to outlining the future of this technology.
