Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad and Al-Yaum Newspapers reported in their editorials that the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are exerting unprecedented efforts to enhance transparency and combat corruption. These efforts are aimed to ensure that the national development process goes according to the aspirations and hopes, as the transparency, integrity and combating corruption are among the key goals of the Kingdom's vision 2030, the papers said . The efforts are reinforced by incorporating the Control and Investigation Authority and the Administrative Investigations into the National Anti-Corruption Authority and altering its name to become the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority, as it is responsible for criminal investigations and the prosecution of criminal cases related to financial and administrative corruption, the papers added. The authority is firmly committed to protecting integrity and fighting corruption in the public bodies and the companies in which the state owns at least 25%; in order to create a work environment in these agencies characterized by integrity, transparency, honesty, justice and equality, the papers concluded.
