The applications of Geographic Information Systems in the two holy cities of Makkah and Al Madinah Almunawarah, implemented by the Institute of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj Research at Umm Alqura University, had won the prize of the best work at the exhibition recently held in Dubai on the fringes of the International Conference on the Applications of Geographical Information Systems in the Middle East and Africa. The Dean of the institute Dr. Osamha bin Fadh-Albarr said his organization's participation was titled " Applications of Geographical Information Systems During Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah (visit).
