Domestic Umrah performers have flocked to the Grand Holy Mosque to perform Umrah rituals and pray at the mosque following the capacity increase to 60,000 Umrah performers, divided into 8 operating periods. Umrah permits are issued through "Eatmarna and Tawakkalna" applications amid an integrated system of services and precautionary measures. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, has organized the Umrah performers' entry to the mosque through specific gates, according to precautionary measures to maintain physical distancing while performing the rituals. Assistant President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Al-Mheimeid said that the General Presidency has prepared early through organizing all Grand Mosque hallways, Mata'af (circumambulation) area, squares and their readiness before the arrival of Umrah performers. He also stressed the readiness of all field commands at the Grand Holy Mosque, where concerned parties will follow up and improve the performance of operational plans to realize envisioned goals and provide a safe environment. He pointed out the readiness of human and machinery cadres amidst a healthy and safe environment that meets all international health standards and the leadership's aspirations towards offering the best services to visitors of the mosque.
