Health Minister announces the success of the health plan for this year's Hajj, and it is free from outbreaks of Coronavirus and other epidemic diseases
The Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, has announced the success of the health plan for this year's Hajj 1442 AH, and that it is free from outbreaks of Coronavirus and other epidemic diseases. In a press statement today, the Minister expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince for their interest and keenness to provide all means and capabilities to serve pilgrims and facilitate their performance of Hajj rituals in a comfortable and safe atmosphere. He said, "Emanating from the keenness of the leadership to preserve the health and safety of pilgrims, the Ministry of Health and Saudi Red Crescent Authority have prepared for this year's Hajj 1442 AH through an integrated system of health facilities in the holy sites including a group of hospitals, health centers and highly equipped ambulances supervised by medical, technical and administrative teams comprising qualified and trained cadres to work during the Hajj season. And all government sectors participating in serving pilgrims have made great efforts to implement the Hajj health plan to ensure their safety and prevent the spread of infection among them in light of the Coronavirus pandemic''. Dr. Al-Rabiah stressed that early efforts and precautionary measures in dealing with the health situation of the pandemic during this year's Hajj season which necessitated limiting the performance of Hajj to 60,000 (sixty thousand) pilgrims who completed the vaccine, have contributed to preserving the health and safety of pilgrims, expressing his thanks to the government for its unlimited support for the Ministry, its employees, and all State's sectors working during the Hajj season, praying to Allah Almighty to accept pilgrims' Hajj and turn them back to their families safely.
