A car bomb exploded in a bus station
in this central Iraqi city on Sunday,
wounding at least 20 people, a police official said.
Police spokesman Rahman Mahawi said the blast happened at
about 1:30 p.m. (1030GMT) in Karbala's main Bab Baghdad bus
station, a crowded terminal in the downtown area of the
city located 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Baghdad.
Mahawi said 22 people were injured in the blast.
