Third Saudi Aircraft Arrives in Tunisia within Saudi Airlift in Response to Tunisian President's Request

In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the third Saudi Aircraft arrived in here today within the Saudi airlift, which is operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to contribute to combating the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), in response to the request of the Tunisian President Kais Saied, during his call with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
The aircraft, which arrived in Tunis, carries on board medical equipment, care equipment, medicine, protective supplies and other medical needs.
The aircraft was received by Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Sager, Tunisian Minister of Defense Brahim Bartagi, Tunisian Minister of Health Dr. Fawzi Al-Mahdi, and Director of the Tunisian President's Office, Minister Nadia Okasha.
In a press statement, Tunisian Defense Minister Brahim Bertegi praised the medical equipment sent by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assist Tunisia's efforts in confronting the widespread outbreak of COVID-19.
The Tunisian Defense Minister said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sent high-precision equipment with advanced technology, which will raise the readiness of the public hospitals to receive patients, adding that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has not been stingy with Tunisia, but gave it generously by sending a large number of medical and care devices, medication, vaccines and other necessary materials.
At the end of his statement, the Tunisian Defense Minister expressed his thanks to the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For her part, Official Spokesperson of the Tunisian Ministry of Health Nisaf Ben Alaya praised the aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support Tunisia in this critical circumstance and to support the efforts of the Ministry of Health to confront the spread of COVID-19, noting the quick response of the Kingdom's leadership and its rapid interaction with the ongoing health crisis in Tunisia.
Ben Alaya affirmed that the Saudi health aid is on its way to the public hospitals in various cities of the Tunisia.
This aid confirms the depth of the strong relations that bind the leaderships of the two countries.
