The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to President Barham Salih of the Republic of Iraq on the deadly fire that broke out at Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in Nasiriya city, resulting in deaths and injuries. In his cable, the Monarch said: "We have learnt of the news of a fire at Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in the city of Nasiriya that resulted in scores of deaths and injuries. And as we send our deepest condolence and sincerest sympathy to Your Excellency, families of the victims, and the people of the brotherly Republic of Iraq, we appeal to Allah to bestow His Mercy over the deceased, offer patience and solace to their families and protect you and the people of Iraq from harm and evil, wishing the injured a speedy recovery."
