The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the registration stages via electronic path for domestic pilgrims is completed. The registration stages started on the 3rd of Dhul-Qa'dah 1442 AH, where 60,000 pilgrims from citizens and residents from inside the Kingdom have been qualified from citizens and residents inside Saudi Arabia. The pilgrims have met the health and regulatory requirements and standards for this year's Hajj, and the necessary permits were issued to them. The pilgrims represent 150 countries, according to the approved numbers for this year's Hajj. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdelfattah bin Suleiman Mashat stated that the number of registrations for Hajj this year reached 558,270 in the first stage, which ended on Thursday 28 Dhu al-Qa'dah 1442 AH, after completing all pilgrims information. He added that the priority was given to those who had not previously performed Hajj, and according to age group. The Ministry also called on all eligible pilgrims whose Hajj permits have been issued to take the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine without booking an appointment and adhere to preventive and precautionary measures.a The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah clarified that pilgrims will be received during the 7th and 8th of Dhul-Hijjah in four reception centers, after which they will be transported by buses to the Holy Mosque in Makkah to perform Arrival Tawaf (circumambulation) before heading to the Holy Sites.
