The Artificial Limbs Center project, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), continues offering its various medical services for Yemeni people who lost limbs. During May, 2021, the center offered 547 services to 426 patients, 93 percent of whom were males and 7 percent females, while displaced people constituted 94 percent and residents 6 percent of the total number of patients. The services included manufacturing and rehabilitating artificial limbs for 170 patients, including delivering, measuring and maintenance of limbs, as well as providing physical therapy sessions and specialized consultations to 256 people. Through the project, KSrelief provides high quality artificial limbs for victims of Houthi mines, trains local personnel on manufacturing limbs, and builds up the capabilities of health institutions to guarantee the localization and sustainability of services.
