Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received here today Afghan Hajj, Guidance and Endowments Minister Mohammed Qasim Halimi. During the meeting, they reviewed fields of cooperation between the OIC and Afghanistan, as well as the latest developments in the peace process in Afghanistan. For his part, Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's firm commitment to helping the Afghan people in order to achieve comprehensive reconciliation, lasting peace, stability and development, recalling the decisions issued by the summit, ministerial meetings, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah Declaration issued on July 11, 2018, which was adopted by the "International Conference of Scholars for Peace and Security in Afghanistan". The Afghan minister hailed the OIC's stances and role in achieving peace, security, stability and development in Afghanistan.
