Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait have solid and deeply rooted relations, emanating from common visions and destiny. The newspaper added that yesterday the first meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council, which was headed by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, has witnessed signing a number of agreements in diverse fields particularly to stimulate investment in the fields of education, scientific research and others. The newspaper further added that the council comes in line with the directives of the leadership of the two brotherly countries. It also reflects the relations between the two countries and discusses ways to bolster them in all fields to fulfill the shared ambitions of security, prosperity, and wellbeing and ensure joint coordination towards various regional and global issues. In another context, Al-Riyadh and Okaz newspapers reported in their editorials that the the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen's announcement regarding Houthi Militia's launching of a bomb-laden UAV on Sunday's morning towards Khamis Mushait City, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirms that the terrorist Houthi militia, which systematically and deliberately targets civilians and civilian objects, is not serious in taking part in the peace initiatives and international efforts to end the war in Yemen. The newspaper added that despite all efforts being exerted by different parties, the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia is still practicing terrorism through launching bomb-laden UAVs. Additionally, the militia's recent attack on civilians in Marib, which resulted in the killing of a number of women, children and medical staff, confirms that this militia does not know the language of peace and cannot engage in serious negotiations, since it follows the Iranian regime. The newspaper concluded that if the US believes that the Houthis bear major responsibility for refusing to engage meaningfully on a ceasefire and to take steps to resolve a nearly seven-year conflict that has brought unimaginable suffering to the Yemeni people, all must unite efforts and take a deterrent action to confronting this terrorist militia. Meanwhile, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that improving the overall quality of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes within the basic strategies and goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. Therefore, sport comes at the forefront of the projects that vision 2030 has approved to re-evaluated its concepts, develop its capabilities, and increase its presence in the life of the individual and society in order to be a key part of the daily lifestyle, the newspaper added. The Saudi Vision 2030 came to promote and spread the culture of sports. This thing affirms that Vision 2030 covers the smallest details that will contribute to developing creativity and talents, harnessing all means to achieve these goals, the paper concluded.
