Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak and French Ambassador to Yemen Jean-Marie Safa discussed here today the political developments in Yemen and efforts to achieve peace. During the meeting, Mubarak expressed Yemen's appreciation of the efforts made by France to contribute to resolving the crisis, stressing that the Yemeni government, despite the Houthi militia's obstruction of peace efforts, will continue to make unremitting efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for a just, lasting and comprehensive peace. The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) reported that the meeting tackled the ongoing Houthi aggression against Marib governorate, which accommodates millions of displaced people, calling on the international community to stop the Houthi aggression against the governorate. In turn, Safa affirmed France's continued support for Yemen and its determination to make every effort to contribute to resolving the crisis and bringing peace about.
