Israeli warplanes early Monday launched a series of airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip, wounding a number of civilians, and causing heavy damage to homes, property and infrastructure, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. The aircraft fired dozens of missiles in the surrounding area of the Ansar complex and Rashid Street west of Gaza, the Maqousi area in the north, and Khan Yunis in the south of the strip, in addition to various areas in the northern coastal enclave. Palestinian sources said that the Israeli jets bombed and destroyed two houses, one in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza, while the other in Al-Sudania area in the north, adding that a home in Deir Al-Balah was also shelled. A number of Gazans were wounded when the Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Batoun Street in Wadi Al-Salqa in Deir Al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip. Also today, Israeli planes and artillery targeted agricultural lands in the east, north and south of the coastal enclave.
