King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has contributed to preserving the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in countries in need, by providing potable water, maintaining public health and limiting the spread of epidemic diseases. The center has implemented 65 projects in the water and environmental sanitation sector, distributed in 14 countries around the world, valued at $243,732,000, which aimed at securing drinking water by drilling wells, developing and maintaining their irrigation networks, pumps, and tanks, pumping potable water and water for human use, and delivering it to the camps and neighboring areas. The projects are meant to preserve public health, combat diseases and epidemics, as well as address pollution in the target countries, by disposing of solid and liquid waste using appropriate scientific methods, and implementing spraying campaigns to combat disease vectors and eliminate swamps, in addition to health education and awareness campaigns.
