Worshipers performed today the first Friday prayer in Ramadan at the Grand Mosque in spirituality and serenity amid intense precautionary measures, thanking Allah the Almighty for the blessings of security, safety, comfort, and stability, and praying to Him lift this pandemic. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has intensified their cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization efforts using environment-friendly disinfectants and detergents subject to the highest standards that do not affect the public health. The Presidency carries out 10 washing operations at the Grand Mosque per day as part of the precautionary measures to increase the purity of the Grand Mosque, in addition to deploying more than 45 field teams who work round the clock to sterilize the Grand Mosque and distribute more than 300 high-quality automatic hand sterilization devices. As many as 70 thermal cameras are distributed at the doors of the Grand Mosque to detect the visitors' temperatures while entering into the Grand Mosque. Furthermore, the Presidency mounted guidance posters at the entrances of the Grand Mosque to guide the worshipers, adding that several paths for people with special needs are designated, so the worshipers could perform their prayers in a safe and healthy environment with ease and comfort.
