The Hareed Fish Festival (Parrot Fish) represents folklore which is celebrated by the people of Farasan Islands in mid-April of each year. The Saudi Press Agency reported during a tour of its correspondents the fishing of the Hareed Fish in a scene promoted by many activities, highlighting the present of Farasan Islands and establishing a promising tourism and investment future in one of the most important tourist destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The festival season starts every year when swarms of these parrotfish appear in the shallow waters in the Al-Hasis beach close to the island where Farasan's people are waiting to hunt what they can of these fish.
