GCC Ministers in charge of Culture held their 12th session here today. Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Fuad Bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi led his country's delegation to the meeting. Following the meeting, Gulf Cooperation Council's Secretary General Hamad bin Abdulrahman Alatiyyah said this meeting gains special attention because, in addition to the joint cultural environment of the GCC member states, it discussed the cultural future for the GCC countries. He said the meeting reviewed a number of issues on its agenda, including the required support for the existing translation centers, honoring the talented, holding of scientific festivals, and organizing book exhibitions in member countries of the GCC.
