His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense made a phone call today to Chairman of Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan General Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Al-Burhan. During the call, they discussed the announcement of the "Saudi Green" Initiative and the "Middle East Green" Initiative, which emboides the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in addressing pressing global issues, and the ambitious initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and enhancing public health and quality of life, through planting 50 billion trees, improving the efficiency of oil production and raising the rates of renewable energy, and the major economic benefits that will be achieved, creating a large number of jobs and sustainable economic development. General Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Al-Burhan lauded the initiative which would benefit the region and the world, expressing Sudan's readiness to work with the Kingdom to achieve the goals of initiative.
