His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense made a phone call on Sunday to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait. During the call, they discussed the Middle East Green Initiative announced by HRH the Crown Prince, which aims, in partnership with the countries of the region, to plant 50 billion trees as the largest reforestation program in the world. It also aims to enhance the efficiency of oil production and increase the contribution of renewable energy, in addition to multiple efforts to preserve the marine and coastal environment, and increase the percentage of natural reserves. They also reviewed the importance of the initiative in facing environmental challenges in the region and the world, and its role in improving the quality of life and public health. For his part, the Emir of Kuwait, lauded the efforts exerted by HRH the Crown Prince and his appreciation for the initiative and Kuwait's willingness to work with the Kingdom to achieve the goals of the initiative.
