British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his French counterpart Jean-Pierre Raffarin held talks in London Tuesday to discuss the need for economic reform in Europe, officials said. Blair's Downing Street office said the private talks were part of ongoing dialogue between the two countries and focused on "areas of domestic policy which have a European dimension such as economic reform in Europe." The spokesman said Blair and Raffarin did not touch on international issues such as upcoming elections in Iraq and the Middle East peace process.
