Founder and CEO of Extreme E Alejandro Agag said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was chosen to be a destination to launch the first season of the global racing series "Extreme E" because it is the perfect destination to host this major event due to the sand dunes and the stunning views of Al-Ula Governorate. He said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is well-known for its ability to achieve great accomplishments, as we all recently witnessed its impressive success by hosting major events, such as the Dakar Rally and the Formula E, adding that the Extreme E racing series will be launched this year to showcase the tremendous potential of environment-friendly technology to produce cars capable of crossing the most challenging terrains around the world. For his part, Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has hosted desert rallies for more than half a century and it is home to the largest sand desert in the world, hence, it represents the perfect destination to host the Extreme E races.
