A military training accident Tuesday killed three Kuwaiti army cadets and wounded seven, according to a Defense Ministry official. The Associated Press quoted the official as saying that a rocket-propelled grenade exploded inside the launcher, killing the three soldiers and injuring seven. He said the casualties were army officer cadets. The accident happened on the Udairi military range, a huge training ground northwest of Kuwait City, that also is used by U.S. forces based in Kuwait. No American military personnel were on the range at the time of the accident, according to Capt. Joe Edstrom, a spokesman for the U.S. military in Kuwait.
