Lightning strike kills seven in South Africa

Lightning struck a hut in a
rural region of South Africa, killing seven people, news
reports said Monday.
The incident happened late Sunday at Mombheni reserve,
near Eshowe in the southeastern coastal province of
KwaZulu-Natal, police told the South African Press
Association.
The region had experienced severe storms for two nights in
a row, police said.
Lightning strikes are common in South Africa.
