Zimbabwe acquits 66 suspects of weapons offences but finds their leader, Simon Mann, guilty of attempting to possess dangerous weapons. Mann is jailed for seven years on Sept. 10. Nov 17 - Harry Carlse, Lourens Horn and Crause Steyl, three South African former soldiers, are convicted in Pretoria of involvement in the plot. Two of them had earlier been charged and freed in Zimbabwe. Nov 25 - A South African court postpones to April the trial of Mark Thatcher on charges he helped finance the plot. Nov 26 - Equatorial Guinean court convicts 11 foreigners and two local men on charges stemming from the plot accusations.
