An explosion leveled a two-storey building in southern Italy Saturday, killing at least seven people, state radio reported. Authorities said a faulty gas canister appeared to have caused the blast. The explosion occurred shortly after 3 a.m. (0200GMT) in the small city of Foggia in the southeast region of Puglia, RAI radio said. Seven residents escaped with minor injuries, the report said.
