The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent today a formal invitation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman, to attend the 41st GCC Summit set to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on January 5, 2021. The invitation was received by Deputy Prime Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, during his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf. During the meeting, they reviewed the Council's achievements made to the Member States' peoples, especially in social, economic, and commercial fields. The Secretary-General expressed his thanks to the Sultan of Oman for his continuous efforts to strengthen the GCC and push the Cooperation Council's progress to broader horizons. The Secretary-General also recalled the significant milestones of the past four decades and the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said's role in establishing the Gulf Cooperation Council and his pivotal role in its sustainability.
