The Cabinet also expressed its appreciation for G20 presidency speech delivered by HRH the Crown Prince after the conclusion of the G20 Summit. The speech affirmed the dedication of the Kingdom's presidency, its efforts to build a stronger, more robust and sustainable world, in parallel with the significant transformation economically and socially in the Kingdom, in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The speech also affirmed the essential link the group forms between its countries, its role in dealing with economic, financial, social and environmental issues, and the participation and international cooperation recorded by the presidency in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and addressing its repercussions. This necessitated activating the central role of the group by holding two summits in one year for the first time in one country, in order to confront the global crisis, and the initiative to take unprecedented and coordinated measures, including providing the necessary resources and financial pledges. It also necessitated to take exceptional measures to support economies and peoples and the flow of global trade. It also proposed an initiative to address pandemics by encouraging research, development and distribution of diagnostic tools, treatments and vaccines for all infectious diseases, and facilitating international financing for global pandemic preparedness, as well as supporting the training of epidemiologists in all parts of the world.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the contents of the telephone calls with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, and President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Acting Minister of Media, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi pointed out the Cabinet reviewed the latest developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic at the local and international levels as well as the latest COVID19 statistics in the Kingdom. The Cabinet also reviewed the work of laboratory examinations, monitoring and follow-up of all developments, and the comprehensive health and medical care provided to active cases. The Cabinet reviewed the efforts taken to make the Kingdom among the first countries that will receive the vaccine after making sure of its effectiveness and safety, in light of global progress in vaccine development.
The Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom's strong condemnation and denunciation of the cowardly terrorist attacks carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, including the targeting of a fuel tank at the petroleum products distribution terminal north of Jeddah. The Cabinet also reaffirmed that these terrorist acts of sabotage, which are committed against vital installations, do not target the national capabilities of the Kingdom, but rather the core of the global economy and the security of its supplies. The Cabinet stressed the importance of combating such acts of sabotage and terrorism and those behind it.

Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi pointed out that the Cabinet was also briefed on reports and developments on local and international levels.
He indicated the Kingdom keenness on expanding and consolidating the prospects of bilateral cooperation with Republic of Iraq, to serve the common interests and reciprocal benefits for the two fraternal countries and peoples in various fields.
In this regard, he noted the functioning of Jadidat Arar border crossing, which has been agreed upon to be opened, in accordance with the outcomes of the workings of 4th session of the Joint Coordination Council, approved by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq.
The Cabinet stressed the Kingdom's support of the UN endeavors to stop the tragedy in Syria, help its sisterly people to realize their hopes, ambitions and legitimate aspirations. The Cabinet stressed the importance of fighting all terrorist organizations in all of its forms.
The Cabinet also welcomed resumption of the Constitutional Committee's workings towards reaching a political solution to end the suffering, guarantee the voluntary and safe return of the refugees, in accordance with the international standards.
The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom call on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to continue exposing Iran's non-peaceful nuclear activities, to intensify inspection tasks inside Iran to expose any site that may possibly utilized to launch undeclared nuclear activities, on the light of the IAEA Director General report.

The Cabinet issued the following decisions:
First: The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Finance, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax - or his deputy- to sign a draft agreement to avoid double taxation between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq, and submit the final version to complete formal procedures.
Second: The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding in the field of food safety standards and information exchange between the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the Australian New Zealand Food Standards Authority.
Third: The Cabinet approved the controls of Furijat service.
Fourth: The Cabinet approved the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's subscription to the shares allocated to it in the capital of the International Finance Corporation.
Fifth: The Cabinet approved the decisions of the Second Extraordinary Conference of the Universal Postal Union, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Sixth: The Cabinet approved to amend the railway transport system issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 33) dated 05/24/1433 H.
Seventh: The Cabinet approved the Saudi Central Bank Law, changing the name of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority to the Saudi Central Bank.
Eighth: The Cabinet approved a number of promotions at the 14th and 15th ranks and a post of Minister Plenipotentiary.
The Cabinet was briefed on a number of issues on its agenda and took relevant recommendations.
