Saudi Arabia Achieves Highest Levels of Commitment to Implementing G20's Outcomes on Cybersecurity

The Follow-up Report on Commitment to Implementing the Outcomes of the G20's Summit has affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved the highest levels of commitment to implementing the outcomes of the G20 Summit on cybersecurity.
This achievement confirms that Saudi Arabia gives great importance to national cybersecurity to reach a safe and reliable Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity, as cybersecurity is a fundamental goal and constituent to protect Saudi Arabia's vital interests and structures.
According to the report, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), issued a number of regulations related to cybersecurity; including cybersecurity regulations for cloud computing and sensitive systems, cybersecurity guidelines for e-commerce, the development of cybersecurity tools, in addition to the adoption of the national strategy for cybersecurity, which establishes a new era in the march of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As for the international level, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made great efforts in the field of cybersecurity. Saudi Arabia established international partnerships related to cybersecurity. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, also adopted two international initiatives to enhance cyberspace protection. The first initiative was to protect children in cyberspace, while the second to empower women in cybersecurity. These two initiatives coincided with the launch of the Global Cybersecurity Forum. This forum also witnessed the announcement of the "Riyadh Cybersecurity Statement", which invites everybody to join in support of a number of goals and recommendations aimed at joining efforts towards a better cyber space for all, according to the report.
The report also stated that NCA also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Global Resilience Federation to activate information sharing and contribute to developing technical capabilities, in addition to training more than 500 professionals in the field of sharing cyber information.
