Government warplanes bombed the leading city in Ivory Coast's rebel-held north Thursday in what an Ivory Coast commander said was the relaunch of full-scale government offensives. "We are going to reconquer our territory, and reunify Ivory Coast," Col. Phillipe Mangou, a government military chief in charge of operations, told The Associated Press. Mangou, speaking in the capital of Yamassoukro, said a government operation was under way in Bouake, bombed by two government warplanes early Thursday, but refused to give details.
