Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi will pay official visits to Germany and Austria this month, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday. Meles will visit Germany from November 10 to 12 for talks on bilateral relations with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and other senior officials. The high-ranking Ethiopian delegation would discuss trade and investment potentials in Ethiopia with leading German business representatives. Zenawi and his delegation will travel onto Austria from November 12 to 14 where trade and investment talks are also on the agenda with Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel and President Heinz Fischer. The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry also said German President Horst Kohler will pay a four-day visit to Ethiopia beginning on December 12. Kohler was later scheduled to visit the neighbouring Republic of Djibouti on December 16, according to the German embassy in Addis Ababa.
