Britain today announced imposing a nationwide lockdown in the country for 4 weeks from Thursday until Dec. 2 to curb the breakout of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a televised press conference the country will enter a nationwide lockdown from Thursday as part of efforts to stop a surge in coronavirus cases. He also said "Without the new procedures and measures, we can see the number of deaths in this country reach several thousand a day," hoping that a vaccine will be developed next year.
