The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) announced intention to introduce a denomination of SR20 (Twenty Saudi Riyals) banknote. The new legal tender (currency) to be introduced, will mark the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presidency of the G20 summit, during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. SAMA, in a statement, pointed out that the commemorative SR20 denomination banknote, is set to be introduced and circulated as of Sunday 03/08/1442 AH, corresponding to 10/25/2020 AD, onward, along with the currently circulating banknote denominations as official currency.
