Nordic and Baltic prime ministers want incoming European Commission chief Manuel Barroso to make only a limited reshuffle of his team after Italian Rocco Buttiglione had to withdraw, Denmark said on Sunday. Buttiglione was forced to stand aside after Barroso withdrew his 25-member team just before its investiture vote at the European Parliament to avoid possible defeat due to opposition to the Italian. "I have one piece of advice and that is to solve this problem in a minor reshuffle," Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen told a news conference after a meeting of the prime ministers of the Nordic and Baltic states. He had been asked by Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson to speak on behalf of all his colleagues when dealing with questions about the Commission at the news conference. "I think it would be too complicated to make too many changes," he added. "Barroso has shown flexibility and I hope that talks will lead to a balanced and constructive result in the near future." --More 2213 Local Time 1913 GMT
